College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico

The College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico “(Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico, CIAPR) was founded in 1938 under the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Law #319 to look after the public interest and to serve as advisors to the Government of Puerto Rico in regard to technological matters, adoption, and implementation of professional ethic conduct and to defend the profession of engineering and surveying.

The CIAPR houses all certified and/or licensed engineers and surveyors in Puerto Rico. The CIAPR is the accredited organization for continued education of engineers within Puerto Rico and works with academia and the industry to establish the governance regarding the engineering profession and best practices.
