PACIV Puerto Rico associates Douglas (Mácar) Garrote, CFO/VP of Administration, and Milagros Deliz, Consultant Automation/Validation Engineer, attended the Entre Amigos event with their partners at the Plazoleta Popular in Hato Rey, San Juan. It was a great opportunity to interact, represent PACIV, and support a local fundraiser. It is the fifth year of the event and music was the spotlight of the night. With local singers like Alberto Carrión and Hilda Ramos, the soundtrack of the night was delectable.

On Friday, November 18th, the PACIV PR associates gathered at the rooftop of the office building to enjoy a fantastic view and bond as a team. The theme was Mexican-inspired. The associates ate Mexican food and enjoyed margaritas while authentic mariachis cheered the crowd. Fun was all around. Everyone sang and danced with the mariachis. The tacos were the talk of the night, and all the associates were delighted after a long day of work.

The PACIV Ireland Team had the opportunity to take the “Overview of Biopharmaceutical Manufacture” training at the Cork Education and Training Board. Our automation and validation engineers were able to see first-hand upstream processing and the different interactions between bioreactors, valves, pressure transducers, temperature probes, pumps, etc. in the biopharmaceutical processes. Although the training is an introduction, the Team was able to identify already the potential opportunities to automate the processes.
