PACIV IRE: Biopharma Training

The PACIV Ireland Team had the opportunity to take the “Overview of Biopharmaceutical Manufacture” training at the Cork Education and Training Board. Our automation and validation engineers were able to see first-hand upstream processing and the different interactions between bioreactors, valves, pressure transducers, temperature probes, pumps, etc. in the biopharmaceutical processes. Although the training is an introduction, the Team was able to identify already the potential opportunities to automate the processes. Our validation engineers also paid attention to ensure everything we did was according to procedures.

Thank you to the instructors for over a day and a half of eye-opening training. The engineers were able to finalize downstream processing and cleaning in place (CIP) before the cycle started again. It was an excellent group opportunity, especially with those recently inserted in our biopharma customers.
